BREW & FORGE is an ongoing experiment in gathering writers, organizers, and movement builders.
Taking to heart Gloria Anzaldúa’s assertion that it takes both the dreamer and the builder to “brew and forge” a revolution, our mission is to amplify the collective power of poets and writers to alchemize dreaming and build capacity in movements for liberation, justice, and survival. Founded in 2016, Brew & Forge is a book fair, a retreat, and more.
PROGRAMS
Since 2016, we've mobilized hundreds of authors to participate in our annual book fair, raising over $40,000 for the organizations leading our movements for liberation, justice, and survival.
The biannual Witches & Warriors retreat gathers BIPOC poets and organizers for three days of scheming, skill-sharing, and collective dreaming, with guidance from faculty mentors. Our next retreat will be held in summer 2026.
In-person and virtual events bring together writers and movement builders to speak on the future of our movements through the lens of action and the arts.
Help us brew & forge a revolution.
